About Me
By profession I am a Food Security Advisor, by nature I love networking and connecting people with each other & opportunities. I have worked in completely different business sectors (telecom, shipping & logistics, garments) and each one has taught me something new. I love the diversity of the people I have worked with and for over the years, some of them left lasting impressions, some taught me valuable lessons, some forced me to grow and some just became life-long friends. This blog is my attempt to ease the way for others (particularly women) to grow as painlessly as possible, to become better human beings while climbing the corporate ladder.
Most women in the corporate world are juggling career, children, marriages and family demands….. we get tired, we feel weak, we break, sometimes we scream and cry and stomp our feet. Pick yourself up, have a little faith, you are not alone… each one of us is paving the way forward for our daughters, for the future generation. We are teaching our sons how to treat women, whether at work or at home. We are teaching our daughters how to respect themselves. Just as we pave our own future by the words we use to describe it, we are teaching others how to treat us by the way we behave ourselves, what we put up with and what we put our foot down on. If you are feeling overwhelmed and looking for support or advice or just to read the rantings of another blogger who’s going through some of it herself, you’ve come to the right place 😉
Thank you for visiting my blog. I love to hear from my readers and on an average I try to update the blog at least once a week. So check back and stay tuned 🙂

Yup it is! I know I am way too hard on myself and sometimes I just simply forget to chill out and appreciate all the things that I have already achieved. LOL! I did a performance review with my manager last Wednesday and she told me that I am too hard on myself and the qualities that she listed for me… I was dumbfounded to be honest … it was the best ego boost possible 🙂

Well…seems we have a similar kind of diversified work background. I spent a lot of my earlier years searching. By my 30’s I had narrowed the search. By the 40’s I had just a couple of jobs. Now, I’m combining experiences and enjoy what I do with this blog. Thank you for following us as we love to meet new folks!
Have a marvelous weekend.

Inspirational. For women of all professions. I worked corporate for a little bit and was totally a duck (not fish) out of water…I could swim a little bit but ultimately just ended up getting carried downstream. Good for you!

It reminds me of Professor Mahjabeen Ahmad, one of my business admin. teachers back in 1998. While some male students termed her a feminist—for her outspokenness against disparity made to women in their spheres of lives—I agreed to her most views. I remember her few sayings: A man needs a career but a woman need a job; when a man laughs, women were expected to giggle, and so forth.
In mild disagreement with Arman, most of our women, especially in our homeland, are not only deprived tacitly but also socially secluded in the name of so-called purdah — in all spheres of life but kitchen, let alone the corporate world, career, entrepreneurship, and so forth.

It reads, “Your comment is awaiting moderation.”
Question: Whose moderation? Who is gonna moderate this?
I wonder if the person moderating is free of all biases. Any substantial-portion removal will make me never log back in with WordPress, no wonder — there are heaps of sites 🙂

Comments await moderation because I want my blog to be free of spammers and language that I do not approve of. Be respectful here, otherwise, feel free to exercise your right and freedom to visit all the other “heaps of sites” that exist on the internet.

Ouch! I wasn’t sure that it was you going to moderate the posts — I felt it’s the admin from WordPress: a source of free websites that I fail to maintain a high esteem about; and now coming up with gravatar or so.
Sorry, I didn’t mean those words towards you. I am sure you didn’t find me disrespectful in this or other posts I’ve so far made — and I don’t need to exercise any undue right or freedom. You seem to have been upset; it appears you didn’t agree with my first post in this page, but only the second. Anyway, . . .
Of due course you will surely moderate things up here — I’m sorry if you had a bad experience here in this site or elsewhere. Sadly, there are people who, being devoid of scruples, help identify there grooming, learning, and the origin they inherit.
