The Sunshine Award: Given to “bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere”

Jerri nominated me for theThe Sunshine Award back in July. While I did thank her immediately, being away on summer vacation and traveling quite a bit meant that I could never really find the time to sit down and fulfill the requirements that come with these awards until now …. so here goes 🙂

Nominate and link to blogs/bloggers that you believe worthy of this award:

All of these blogs are amazing reads and I look forward to new posts.

Ten things you might (not want) to know about me:

I am learning Dutch

Right now, I am hooked on the Wii

I don’t have to look at the keyboard to type  (it freaks people out when I look at them, talk to them but continue to type something else at the same time)

I listen to music almost constantly, in 3/4 languages, from every genre – I can go from rock to ballads without missing a beat

I have recently started to read poetry

I have a tendency to get hooked on crime solving serials e.g. “Castle”, “Criminal Minds”, “Bones”… you get the idea…

I am almost obsessive about checking my emails every day and making weekly ‘to-do’ lists

I have been promising myself fire spinning lessons since forever

That is just about all that I can come up with right now, now go ahead and check those blogs out 🙂

  1. Congratulations …I think it’s great to learn a different language…I tried to learn French some years ago but unfortunately couldn’t master it…however I do know a few phrases…Diane

    • Hi Diane, I am hoping that learning Dutch would be easier since I am working with the Dutch, but lets see how it goes. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  2. Welcome back from vacation and congratulations on the award! Food Security sounds like an interesting field – I was in the food service industry for a short time and found it fascinating. Thanks for including me as an awardee! All the best, xoM

    • I really enjoy your blog, so you are most welcome 🙂

Food security is proving to be an interesting field. There’s so much to learn and so much to do with so many innovations in different parts of the world, its quite a steep learning curve.

  3. Thank you so much! I’m very flattered and honored that you have given me this award. I appreciate your kindness! 🙂

    • I look forward to reading your posts every single day! Some days I even wonder what I will find in my email today. Its a spot of much needed sun shine in our days 🙂

      • Aww, I love hearing this! I’m truly happy to be able to interject some sunshine into other people’s days (and lives). Thank you for sharing this comment; it genuinely means a lot to me. It was just the pick-me-up I needed today.

  4. Yeah! Yahoo! Yippee! & Congratulations! Now I’m off to click on your nominee links. Well, except for that one blogger. I know him, and he’s pretty much a yo-yo!………….lol………..Thanks1

  5. This just confirms my thought that you’re pretty cool! 🙂 Jerri
